Simon Ward – Bid Manager
Simon joined the Group in 2009 and has over 30 years experience in the steel construction industry. He’s previously worked for Maylux Engineering and Watson Steel and has been involved in projects such as Hong Kong Airport and the O2 (formerly the Millennium Dome) in London.
John Dowds – Design Development Manager
John joined the Group in 1990 and has over 40 years experience in the construction industry. He started his career with Redpath Dorman Long as an apprentice draughtsman before being appointed Senior Draughtsman. John has worked for various companies at various levels and has the experience of working on a variety of projects sizes both in the UK and internationally.
Gerry Hobday – Planning Manager
Gerry joined Bone Steel in 1994 and has over 35 years experience of the steel construction industry. He has previously worked for Barr Steel, Grange Engineering and Bass Buildings and has been involved in major sports stadia projects for West Ham United Football Club, Southampton Football Club and Northampton Saints Rugby Club, as well as being involved in a wide range of industrial, commercial and educational projects.
James Cook - Procurement Manager
James has over 14 years experience in the construction industry specifically within the fields of project management and procurement within the Housing and Commercial Sectors. His current responsibilities include the management of the Bone Steel supply chain.
Alan Jessimer – Production/Factory Manager
Alan joined the Group in 1989 and has over 30 years experience in the steel construction industry. He previously worked for Alexander Finlay and Co where he was involved in bridge building and heavy fabrication projects such as Windscale, Drax and Torness Power Stations.
Alistair Maclean – Commercial Manager
Alastair has a BSc in Quantity Surveying and has over 17 years experience in the construction industry, predominately in Main Contracting on commercial building projects. Since joining Bone Steel he has worked on a number of large and prestigious contracts, including the Glasgow Airport extension.
Paul Higgins - Systems Manager
Paul joined the Group as an apprentice specialising in welding and welding engineering. He has held numerous positions within various departments of the company including Fabrication, Machining, Coatings, Technical and Document Control and now holds the position of Systems Manager.
Marie Magunnigle – Finance Manager
Marie joined the Group in 1976 and has worked mainly within the finance section. Marie has gained a wealth of experience within the Construction Industry which has recently resulted in her appointment as a Director of Skelton Onsite.
